Jobs Mili is a hiring platform. Companies post jobs, candidates apply, and an AI interviewer holds a spoken first-round interview. That means we handle personal information, including your voice during an interview. This page says what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to get it deleted, in plain language.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody at Jobs Mili can read them.
- Your candidate profile. Whatever you choose to enter: phone number, location, years of experience, skills, work history and education.
- Your applications. Which roles you applied to and the outcome of each. Applying uses your profile as it is, so there is no separate application form.
- Your resume, if you upload one: the PDF file, and its text, which we extract ourselves (no AI reads the file). Like your profile, that text is then used by the AI check before the interview and by the AI that writes your questions.
- Your interview. While the interview runs, your voice is streamed live to our speech provider so it can be transcribed and the interviewer can reply. We keep the text transcript. We do not keep a recording of your voice.
- Your camera. The interview asks for your camera so you can see yourself, as you would on a video call, and so software running in your own browser can check whether a face is on camera and whether more than one is. Your camera is not recorded as video. What we do save, with the agreement we ask for before the interview starts, is still pictures. While the interview runs, a still picture of you is saved every 30 seconds for the hiring team, and one more if someone else stays in view after a warning (at most four of those). Pictures come from your camera only, never your screen, and none is taken while the interview is paused. Pictures taken every 30 seconds are deleted after 30 days; the others after 90 days.
- Interview checks. While the interview runs, we note whether you leave the interview tab or window, leave full screen, whether your camera or microphone disconnects, and whether no face or more than one face is on camera. You see a message on screen each time one of these is noted, and a disconnect pauses the interview until you reconnect. If the face check cannot run on your computer, or cannot find a face when the interview begins, we also note that it could not check. We keep these notes with when each happened and how long it lasted, and no picture beyond the ones described under “Your camera”.
- Company accounts. Company details, team members, job postings and the hiring team’s decisions on applicants.
- What your browser stores. Cookies that keep you signed in, the colour theme you chose, and whether you last used Jobs Mili as a candidate or an employer. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use it
- To run your account and show you the roles and applications that are yours.
- To compare your profile with a job's requirements before the interview.
- To write interview questions based on the job and on your own experience.
- To hold the interview, then score it and summarise it for the hiring team.
- To show the hiring team the interview check notes and the pictures saved during the interview next to your transcript, as context.
- To send you email you need: verifying your address, team invitations, and updates on your applications.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
AI and automated decisions
AI is used at two points, and you should know how each one affects you.
- Before the interview. An AI check compares your profile with the job. If it finds a clear mismatch, your application can be declined automatically, and you are shown the reasons at the time. The check is set up to let borderline candidates through rather than turn them away.
- After the interview. An AI scores each answer against the job and writes a summary and a recommendation. These go to the hiring team, and a person at the company makes the decision. The team can read your full transcript next to every score.
- The interview checks decide nothing. A note such as leaving the tab for a few seconds does not change your score, is not shown to the AI that scores your answers, and never ends or rejects an interview. It is shown to the hiring team as context, next to what you were saying at the time. The same goes for the pictures saved during the interview.
If you think an automated decision about you was wrong, email info@jobsmili.com and we will look at it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists, so your applications and their history stay available to you and to the companies you applied to.
To have it deleted, email info@jobsmili.com from the address you signed up with. We then delete your candidate profile, your applications and their history, your interviews (transcripts, scores and summaries, interview check notes and pictures) and your resume files, from our database and from our file storage, and then your account itself. If you are also on a company’s hiring team, we keep your account and your place on that team, because they are part of the company’s records, and delete the rest. We aim to do this within 30 days of your email.
We keep a note that the deletion was done, with its date and a short reason, but not your name or email address. If we block an email address because it was used for abuse, we keep that address and our reason, so the block keeps working.
Pictures saved during an interview are deleted automatically in any case: pictures taken every 30 seconds after 30 days, and the others (taken when someone else stayed in view after a warning) after 90 days.
We keep backups of the database so nothing is lost to a server failure. Each backup is deleted after 30 days, so anything deleted from Jobs Mili is gone from the backups within a month too.
Your choices
- See and correct your details at any time from your profile and account settings.
- Get a copy of what we hold about you, or have it deleted, by emailing info@jobsmili.com.
- Stop an interview at any point by leaving it. What you said up to then is kept as a transcript, and you can ask for it to be deleted.
Depending on where you live, for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have further rights. Email us to use them.
Security
Passwords are hashed. Sign-in uses cookies that page scripts cannot read. Each interview can only be opened from the account that applied. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects you we will tell you.
Children
Jobs Mili is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also tell account holders by email.
